- magicJack calls are "dialed" from the phone dial pad or from the "soft phone” which appears on the computer screen. Talk and listen through the analog phone just as you would with a landline call.
- magicJack requires users to have high speed internet such as DSL, cable or broadband to use this product. A minimum bandwidth speed of 128 kb/s is required.
- magicJack supports Windows XP, Windows 7, Vista, and Intel based Macs.

- If you take (or send) a magicJack outside the United States, it allows you to make freecalls back to anywhere in the United States or Canada.
- If you take (or send) a magicJack outside of the United States, it can be called from any phone in the United States regardless of where you are located. If you are using a magicJack™ enabled phone to make the call, the call is, of course, always free. If you are not using a magicJack™ enabled phone to make the call, it will cost what a call would cost from that phone to the magicJack's U.S. area code based on your existing call plan. (For example, from a cell phone with free long distance minutes, the call would be free.)
